1 ... 2 ... 3 ... 4... 5

Via Audio formed in the winter of 2002 from a shared interest in playing and writing pop music that could be accessible and original. The result is a sound likened to that of indie rock, but with a quieter edge. Singer Jessica Martins' voice seamlessly shifts from a laid back croon to a coarse accusation, leaving the music with a balanced, anxious groove.

The mature sound of Via Audio comes from the amount of experience in the young band. Having played together all around Boston, they continue to build a fan base with every performance. Songwriter Jessica Martins has played as half of the folk-rock acoustic duo Rising to the Bottom, and recently released an album under that heading; also in the works is an album of her own recordings, featured on Iuma.com's Top 40 list for the past eight months. Drummer Danny Molad has played in a number of indie rock bands, including Boston's The Pseudo Tree, and with bassist David Lizmi's Predominantly March. Guitarist Tom Deis, the band's newest member, has previously played with the reputable Boston band Kingsize, completing the dynamic of this innovative quartet. The breadth and variety of their preceding projects expresses the commitment of all the members of Via Audio to the music they play.
